  • What is the basic dynamic load rating?

     Setting the rated life of the bearing at one million rotations, the load that the bearing can undertake is called the basic dynamic load rating. The basic dynamic load rating is represented with C. The radial bearing refers to the pure radial load and is represented with Cr. The thrust bearing refers to the pure axial load and is represented with Ca. 
  • What is the rated life of the bearing?

    The rated life is the rotational number (the unit is in millions) that 90% of the bearings can rotate or working hours before they are destroyed by the pitting, assuming 10% of the bearings are destroyed by the pitting. The rated life is represented by L10. 
  • What are the failure modes of rolling bearings?

    The main modes are: Pitting, plastic deformation, abrasive wear, adhesive wear, corrosion bearing burnt, etc. 
  • What is the life of the bearing?

    A single bearing. Before the materials of a ring or a rolling element appear strain propagation, the number of revolutions of one ring to the other ring is called the life of a bearing. Owing to the differences of manufacturing accuracy and the materials’ homogeneous degree, the life of the bearings may be different even they are manufactured with the same materials, sizes and batches under the same working condition. 
  • What are the main factors that should be taken into consideration while selecting the rolling bearing?

    The load of the bearing: The size, direction and properties of the load that the bearing undertakes are the main foundations of selecting bearings. II. The rotational speed: The rotational speed will not influence the selection of the bearings at the general speed. Only when the rotational speed is very high will it have significant effect on the selection. III. The aligning performance of the bearing. IV. The installation and dispatch of the bearings. 
     
  • What are the commonly used rolling elements?

    Tapered roller bearing, thrust tapered roller bearing, large-taper-angle tapered roller bearing, thrust ball bearing, bidirectional thrust ball bearing, deep groove ball bearing, angular touching ball bearing, cylindrical roller bearing without flanges at the outer-ring, cylindrical roller bearing without flanges at the inner-ring, cylindrical roller bearing with flanges at the inner-ring, needle bearing, spherical surface ball bearing with jbckscrew. 
  • What kinds of bearings can the rolling bearings divided into based on the differences of outer load?

     The rolling bearings can be divided into radial bearing, thrust bearing and centripetal thrust bearing. 
  • What are the main functions of the retainer?

    The main function of the retainer is to evenly separate the rolling element, distribute the rolling elements equidistantly and lessen the friction and wearing among the rolling elements. Without the retainer, the adjacent rolling elements may be worn because of the large relative sliding speed at the touching area. 
  • What are the commonly used rolling elements?

    The rolling elements include ball, cylindrical roller, needle, tapered roller, spherical roller, asymmetric spherical roller, etc. 
  • What are the basic parts of a rolling bearing?

    The rolling bearing is composed of inner-ring, outer-ring, rolling element and retainer. The rolling element is the core element of the rolling bearing. It makes the sliding friction at the surface of relative movement to rolling friction.
