SKF bearing prefix and its meaning

GS - Thrust cylindrical roller, thrust needle roller bearing race. Example: GS81107- Seat ring of thrust cylindrical roller bearing 81107.

K - In the combination of thrust roller and cage. Example: K81170.

K - Inner ring (inner cone) or outer ring (cone ring) of imperial tapered roller bearings with roller and cage components in accordance with AFBMA standard series. Example: K-09067- Inner cone of tapered roller bearings with series 09000.

L - A single inner or outer ring of a separable bearing. Example: LNU207- Inner ring of cylindrical roller bearing NU207.

ACD - Contact angle is 25 degrees.

B - The contact angle is 40 degrees.

CC - Contact angle is 12 degrees.

Spherical Roller Bearings

CAC, ECAC, CA, ECA - These designs are used for large-sized bearings with symmetrical rollers. There are fixed retaining edges on both sides of the inner ring, and the retaining ring is centered around the inner ring during movement. The retainer is a solid brass or steel frame. The surfaces of the rollers and raceways of CAC and ECAC bearings have been optimized to aid in rolling and reduce friction. The ECAC model comes with reinforced rollers to improve load capacity.
